You can enter Brunei as a visitor for up to 90 days without a visa on a British citizen passport.

It is against the law to be seen eating, drinking, or smoking in public during the fasting hours of the holy month of Ramadan.

Dress modestly and do not wear shorts in government and public buildings such as health centres.

Avoid leaving belongings in unattended vehicles and take care of your passport as petty crime, like theft, does occur.

Public displays of affection may cause offence, and adultery or private closeness between an unmarried man and woman is illegal if one is Muslim.

When hiking, use recognised guides, stay on paths, and carry food, water, closed-toe shoes, a whistle, and a torch as it's easy to get lost.

Pay attention to signs warning of saltwater crocodiles near rivers and beaches and stay away from the water's edge.
