You must have a visa to enter Cameroon.

To enter Cameroon, your passport must have an expiry date at least 6 months after the date you arrive.

To enter Cameroon, you must have a certificate to prove you've had a yellow fever vaccination.

You must apply for a e-visa online, but cannot get a visa on arrival at either Yaoundé or Douala airport.

If you travel to Cameroon by road or sea, you must get a physical visa before you arrive as you cannot get an e-visa at land or sea borders.

There are strict rules about goods you can take into or out of Cameroon, and you must declare anything that may be prohibited or subject to tax or duty.

Make sure the border control officer puts a stamp in your passport when you enter.

Always carry your ID or a certified copy of your passport with a valid visa to avoid being detained by police.

Do not wear camouflage clothing as it is illegal and can result in a fine or detention.

Avoid hailing taxis from the roadside and only use trusted, pre-arranged taxis, preferably booked from your hotel.

Keep car doors locked and windows closed, and avoid displaying valuables or carrying large amounts of cash while driving.

Be cautious when walking, particularly alone, and avoid walking at night due to risks of armed robbery and mugging.

It is illegal to photograph military sites, government buildings, airports, and ports, and you may be asked for money to take photos elsewhere.

Same-sex relationships and sexual acts are illegal, and same-sex partners have been arrested and prosecuted.
