You can visit Mauritius without a visa for up to 60 days.
Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay.
You must fill in the Mauritius All in One travel form online before you arrive and show the printed QR code.
You must be able to show proof of onward or return travel.
Your passport must have at least one blank page.
Good to know:
There are strict customs rules about goods you can take into or out of Mauritius, and you must declare anything that may be prohibited or subject to tax.
Non-Mauritian nationals that have travelled from Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the preceding 21 days and that do not hold a valid work permit, residence permit, occupation permit, business, or student visa are not allowed to enter Mauritius.
Safety in Mauritius
Mauritius is tourist-friendly but has some key cultural and legal rules:
Petty crime is common in tourist areas, so keep your accommodation secure and do not leave bags unattended.
Report any incidents to the tourist police by calling 999.
Carry your passport or driving licence, as police may occasionally ask to see your ID.
Do not walk alone at night on beaches or in poorly lit areas, particularly in certain parts of Port Louis.
Possessing or importing cigarette papers is illegal.

Do not do business with street or beach vendors.
If you are driving, be aware that drink-driving carries severe penalties, with a fine and possible imprisonment for even low levels of alcohol.

Health in Mauritius
It is essential to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, including repatriation. Ensure your policy covers all planned activities. While Mauritius is not in the EU, so a UK GHIC or EHIC card won't be applicable, adequate travel insurance is a must.
No vaccinations required
Consult your doctor or a travel clinic for the most up-to-date health advice and recommended vaccinations before travelling to Mauritius. Mosquito-borne diseases are present, so take precautions to avoid mosquito bites (DEET repellent, long sleeves/trousers, mosquito nets). Tap water is generally considered safe to drink, but bottled water is recommended, especially for those with sensitive stomachs. Food safety standards are generally good, but exercise normal precautions.

Mauritian nationals and non-Mauritians with valid permits/visas who have travelled from, transited through, or been in Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan within the preceding 21 days are now subject to a 21-day mandatory quarantine on entry.
These Ebola-related restrictions were announced by the Mauritius Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 15 June.
