You can visit Trinidad and Tobago without a visa for up to 90 days.

Your passport must have an expiry date at least 6 months after the date you arrive.

You must have an onward or return ticket for your visit.

You must have proof of funds for your stay.

Make sure you get your passport stamped upon entry, as not having a stamp makes extending your stay difficult.

You must declare cash in any currency worth over 20,000 Trinidad and Tobago dollars when entering the country.

When returning to the UK, British citizens must carry a valid British passport or certificate of entitlement.

Always be alert to your surroundings and avoid wearing headphones when out and about.

Avoid walking alone on deserted beaches, at night, or in poorly lit or quiet areas.

Never leave anything in an unattended vehicle, as items can be snatched through car windows.

Be cautious when withdrawing cash from ATMs, use well-lit ones and withdraw small amounts during daylight hours.

It is an offence for anyone to dress in camouflage clothing or bring any into the country.

Avoid accepting drinks from anyone you do not know, and do not leave drinks unattended.

If you're staying in a villa, ensure it has adequate security, including external lighting and grills.
